Notes: The progression of changes in blood glucose with age in animals parsed based on presence or absence of hyperglycemia. Symbols represent means and error bars represent one standard deviation. Hyperglycemic ZDF rats were significantly different from normoglycemic ZDF rats at week 9 (P<0.05), at weeks 10 and 11 (P<0.01), and from 12 weeks onward (P<0.001).
