Polyinosinic:polycytidylic acid (poly(I:C)) and isoflavone effect on brain gene expression of inflammatory mediators. Mice were provided with either low or high isoflavone diet ad libitum. Mice were injected intraperitoneally (ip) with 20 mg/kg poly(I:C) and were forced to swim for 15 minutes. Following this, they were individually placed into specific cages and locomotor activity was monitored overnight. The next day, brain samples were collected and analyzed for TNF-α (Figure 3 A), IL-6 (Figure 3 B), KC (Figure 3 C), and CCL4 (Figure 3 D) brain gene expression using qPCR.
