Detection of VATPaseV₀a in the midgut, ovary and salivary glands from Dermacentor variabilis using rDvVATPaseV₀a polyclonal antibody. Tick tissues, including midgut, ovary and salivary glands, were dissected from the female unfed ticks and the protein was extracted. Thirty micrograms of total proteins from each tissue were then analysed by SDS-PAGE followed by Western immunoblot using anti-rDvVATPaseV₀a polyclonal antibody. The arrow indicates a DvVATPaseV₀a protein band detected in tick ovary.
