Demonstration of calculation of N₂O production index ( = ∫ N₂O(t)dt/∫ [N₂O(t)+N₂(t)]dt). The area under the cumulative N₂O−N is ∫ N₂O(t)dt, and the area under the cumulative (N₂O+N₂)−N is ∫ [N₂O(t)+N₂(t)]dt, where N₂O(t) is the accumulated flux of N₂O at any time t, and N₂(t) is the accumulated flux of N₂ at any time t.
