Frequencies of interleukin (IL)-17-producing cells after stimulation with heat-killed bacteria and cell wall components and enrichment with magnetic-activated cell sorting (MACS) separation. Thymocytes were activated with α-CD3 and stimulated with heat-killed Escherichia coli (HKEB), Pseudomonas aeruginosa (HKPA), P. aeruginosa (HKSA), Lactobacillus rhamnosus (HKLR), lipoteichoic acids Staphylococcus aureus (LTA-SA) and peptidoglycans Staphylococcus aureus (PGN-SA). IL-17-secretion assay was performed and IL-17-secreting cells were enriched over a MACS separation. Total numbers of IL-17-producing cells (upper) and amount of CD4+ or CD8+-positive cells gated on IL-17 (below). Representative data of three different experiments with three mice are shown.
