Triphlorethol-A suppresses 8-oxoG generated by H2O2 treatment. (a) Cells were treated with 30 μM triphlorethol-A for 1 h, and then incubated with 1 mM H2O2 for an additional 24 h. The amount of 8-oxoG in DNA was determined using the Bioxytech 8-OHdG-ELISA kit. * Significantly different from control cells (p < 0.05) and ** significantly different from H2O2-treated cells (p < 0.05); (b) The binding of avidin-TRITC, which reflects 8-oxoG levels, was visualized with a fluorescence microscope.
