The deduced multiple the deduced sequence alignment of amino acids encoded by the S2 genes of viruses isolated from four EIAVLN40-infected horses. The sequences of all the viral clones were aligned to the consensus sequence (con) of EIAVLN40, shown at the top. Only the amino acid residues that are different from the consensus sequence of EIAVLN40 are indicated. The dots indicate residues identical to the consensus sequence. The numbers in the left column in each sequence indicate the number of a specific sequence in the total detected clones of each sample. The red letters denote the stable substitutions.
