Simulation of an epileptiform transition. ECoG signals were obtained using a 100 s forward simulation and adjusting the connectivity gains from alpha to seizure rhythms and vice versa (see Tables 4, 5). The simulation output shows the epileptiform activity rapidly spreading from Region 1 (where the pathology was simulated), to the rest of the network. The figure also shows a graphical representation of the model of the differential measurement function. The blue and red sub-panels show example alpha and seizure-type rhythms, respectively.
