Stoichiometry of ferredoxin and NAD reduction by H2 catalyzed by purified electron-bifurcating ferredoxin- and NAD-dependent [FeFe]-hydrogenase from R. albus 7. In the experiment, ferredoxin from C. pasteurianum was used, which harbors two [4Fe4S] clusters and accepts two electrons at almost the same redox potential of −400 mV (87). The ferredoxin of C. pasteurianum is very similar to that of R. albus (19).
