Groups of 5 to 9 wt mice (A), PKR−/− mice (B), and IFNAR−/− mice (C, D) were intranasally infected with a dose of 5 × 107 TCID50/mouse (wt and PKR−/−) or 2 × 106 and 1 × 107 TCID50/mouse (IFNAR−/−) of purified stocks of wild-type CVA, CVA-dsneo-ΔB15, and CVA-ΔB15 strains. Animals were inspected and weighed daily.
