Visualization of HSV- and PRV-associated particles prepared from the cytoplasm of Vps4A- and Vps4A-EQ-expressing cells. Cells were preinduced (Pre Tet+) or not preinduced (Pre Tet-) with tetracycline for 16 h and then infected with HSV (A, B, E, F) or PRV (C, D, G, H) in the presence of tetracycline to express Vps4A or Vps4A-EQ as indicated. After 16 h, PNS samples were prepared and mRFP1-decorated capsids imaged by fluorescence microscopy in the red channel. Representative fields are shown. Scale bars represent 10 μm.
