AURKA promotes phosphorylation of STAT3 in upper gastrointestinal cancer cells. (A) AURKA knockdown (left panel) or stable overexpression (right panel) in FLO‐1 cells led to a decrease or increase in p‐STAT3 (Tyr705), respectively. (B) Knockdown of endogenous AURKA led to a decrease in the p‐STAT3 (Tyr705). Reconstitution of AURKA, after knockdown of endogenous levels, restored the STAT3 phosphorylation levels. (C) AURKA knockdown in MKN45 cells resulted in decreased phosphorylation of STAT3 (Tyr705). (D) AGS cells showed increased p‐STAT3 (Tyr705) protein level in response to transient AURKA overexpression.
