The D and K proton translocation channels. The D-channel starts at D91 and ends at E242, which serves as a diverter valve, transferring protons to either the binuclear center for the reduction of O2 to water or to the proton loading site (LS) for subsequent translocation of protons to the P-side of the membrane.
