The upper figure shows a block diagram of 16 of a shaper/analog mezzanine (SAM) card. Each SAM card receives and shapes six PMT signals. Each MRB requires three SAM cards (18 PMT inputs); the MRB sends copies of six of these 18 inputs to the adjacent MRB, so that each MRB processes all 24 PMT signals with which a given detector module’s scintillation light is collected. The lower-left figure shows three SAM cards attached to one MRB. The lower-right figure is an elevation view indicating the SAM cards’ mounting onto an MRB.
