DRG neurons from C57/Bl6 mice were exposed to 25.7 mM glucose for 0, 6, or 24 h, then fixed and immunolabeled for Drp1 (green) and mitochondria (VDAC, red). Representative cell bodies appear above associated representative neurites. Co-localization of the labels, which demonstrates re-localization of Drp1 to mitochondria, suggesting mitochondrial fission, appears in yellow.
