Hartley guinea pigs were infected ivag with HSV-2 strain MS and lymphocytes isolated from the indicated tissues on days 99–150 post infection. Enriched populations of CD4+ and CD8+ T cells were obtained using a magnetic-based kit. HSV-specific, IFN-γ SCs were detected and quantified by IFN-γ ELISPOT.
