(A) The functional effect of the constitutive activated Gα12 (Gα12QL) on cell migration was assessed using scratch assay. Increased cell migration was observed in ORL150 cells that overexpress Gα12QL as indicated by a significant reduction in the open wound area, as compared to the ORL150/VC cells after 18 hours. (B) Similarly, ORL150/Gα12QL cells demonstrated 4-fold increase in invasion in comparison to the ORL150/VC cells. NIH3T3 conditioned medium was used as chemoattractant. The graphs are the representative results of 3 experimental repeats. Error bars represent SEM for the replicates tested in an experiment.
