Effects of CORM-2 on the growth curve and colony counting of E coli. The bacteria culture was appropriately diluted and evenly spread on Mueller-Hinton agar plates. Bacteria were cultured in CO2 incubator at 37 °C. CORM-2 was added to the bacteria culture at the concentration of 200 or 400 μmol/L to observe its effects on the E coli growth curve and resulting colonies. When compared to group E coli, the bacterial growth was significantly suppressed (A, C) and colony numbers markedly decreased (B, D) in group E coli+200 μmol/L CORM-2 and in group E coli+400 μmol/L CORM-2 (F=1034.33, 248.32, and 7087.46, 11342.67, respectively, P<0.01). n=8.
