The effect of H₂O₂ pretreatment on HO-1 protein level. Wheat aleurone layers were pretreated with distilled water (Con) or 100 μM H₂O₂ for 6 h and then transferred to a medium containing 5 mM CaCl₂ and 50 μM GA or ABA. HO-1 protein levels (A) were determined after 12 h of incubation. HO-1 protein levels were evaluated by western blotting; Coomassie Brilliant Blue-stained gels are presented to show that equal amounts of proteins extracts were loaded (B). The number above the band (A) illustrates the relative abundance of the corresponding HO-1 protein, compared with that of the ABA-treated sample.
