E5564 counteracts HIV-1-Tat- and GST-Tat 1-45-induced secretion of IL-10 by human monocytes. Primary human monocytes were preincubated or not with E5564 (10 nM) or placebo (10 nM) before stimulation by HIV-1 Tat protein (10 nM), GST-Tat 1–45 (10 nM) or GST (10 nM) as a control.
