Functional connectivity maps of the left STN in controls/more affected STN in PD patients and the regions of the Human Motor Area Template (HMAT). The HMAT mask used in the analysis includes the following structures: primary motor cortex (M1), sensory cortex (S1), dorsal premotor cortex (PMd), ventral premotor cortex (PMv), supplementary motor area (SMA), and pre-supplementary motor area (Pre-SMA). Results are given in MNI space, thresholded at P < 0.05 (corrected using 3dClustSim in AFNI) and presented on sagittal, coronal and axial slices of the Collin 27 average brain. The color scale provides information about the strength and sign of the correlation. L = left, R = right.
