The solid curves in the plot present maximum cross-correlation values between the input data and the top 1,000 search results. The brown curve shows the results using an earthquake with a magnitude of Mw 5.9 that occurred on 8 March 2012 inside the test area. The cyan curve shows the results using an earthquake with a magnitude of Mw 5.3 on 30 April 2014 outside the test area. The orange curve shows the results using a hypothesised double-event earthquake created from the earthquake on 8 March 2012 and another earthquake with a magnitude of Mw 5.3 that occurred on 15 September 2011. The dashed line marks the cross-correlation threshold used for validating the search results.
