Astrocytes were transfected for 48 h with non-target (NT) or ARSB siRNA. Neurons were plated on top of astrocytes for 16 h. Cultures were then fixed and stained with neuron-specific βIII-tubulin antibody and a fluorescent secondary. Neurite length was measured using the software Image J. Shown are representative images of neurons incubated on top of control (A), non-target siRNA-transfected (B), and ARSB siRNA-transfected (C) astrocytes.
