Cyclic voltammetry of 9 (black) and 10 (red) in solution (left) and thin-film (right). The experiments in solution were carried out in dichloromethane (0.1 mM) using a glassy carbon electrode. A film was deposited from a solution of the triads in dichloromethane on a glassy carbon electrode and experiments were carried out in acetonitrile. In both cases, a Ag wire reference electrode and a Pt counter-electrode, in the presence of Bu₄NPF₆ (0.1 M), were used. All the values are quoted versus the redox potential of the ferrocene/ferrocenium couple.
