Toc159 exhibits a tripartite structure consisting of an N-terminal acidic (A) domain, a central GTPase (G) domain and a C-terminal membrane-anchor (M) domain. Various lengths of the BsToc159 C-terminus from 50 to 100 residues (i.e., C50 to C100) and a truncated region (i.e., C100Δ56) were fused to the C-terminus of EGFP in the pSAT6 vector for 35S promoter-driven expression.
