Influence of adapter length on mitochondrial target enrichment specificity. (Three different libraries (A–C) were prepared and subjected to target enrichment for mtDNA with different adapter lengths. Basic results before and after enrichment (reads were downsampled to have the identical number of reads examined) show higher target enrichment specificity of libraries with short adapters with the settings used.
