The NORMIT model equation. The model equation was derived from the more complex expressions shown in Table 4. Predicted probability of survival for an individual trauma victim is calculated by inserting the patient’s T-RTS value, age, and NISS value in the equation, selecting the adequate NISS expression depending on the patient’s pre-injury ASA-PS classification.
