Quinine is denoted as substrate A and chloroquine as substrate B. P is the proportion of quinine in the chloroquine/quinine mixture, va and vb, are the respective rates of quinine and chloroquine transport, and Vtotal is the sum of va and vb. The values for va and vb were calculated from the kinetic data presented in Figs. 2A and 4A.
