Trends in the age-standardised incidence rates of in situ and invasive melanomas among persons aged 15–24 by sex in Queensland, 1982–2010. Excludes in situ lentigo maligna melanoma. Rates were directly age-standardised to the 2000 World Standard Population. Trends calculated using joinpoint regression. Estimated annual percentage change (95% confidence intervals): Males, in situ: 1982–1998: +7.4% (+3.1%, +11.9%); 1998–2004: −9.2% (−24.9%, +9.7%); 2004–2010: +10.9% (−2.6%, +26.4%). Males, invasive: 1982–1994: +3.3% (+0.0%, +6.8%); 1994–2010: −4.2% (−6.2%, −2.1%). Females, in situ: 1982–1995: +10.8% (+5.9%, +15.9%); 1995–2010: −2.1% (−4.3%, +0.2%).
