The number of double minute chromosomes (DMs) decreases after inhibition of ERK1/2 phosphorylation. (A, B) ERK1/2 inhibitors decrease the number of DMs in UACC-1598 and Colo320DM cells (mean number of DMs/cell ± SD); ^*p < 0.05, ^**p < 0.01, ^***p < 0.001, by ANOVA and Dunnett's multiple comparison post-test. (C, D) The numbers of DMs in UACC-1598 or Colo320DM cells are not affected by JNK1/2/3 or p38 inhibitor treatment (SP600125 or SB203580). (E, F) The numbers of DMs in NCI-H716 and NCI-H508 cells are not affected by ERK1/2 inhibitor treatment
