The protein levels (normalized to GAPDH) of MMP-2 (B), MMP-9 (C), and VEGF (D) in eyes injected with sham or sulodexide (5 mg/kg, 15 mg/kg) were compared. Sulodexide clearly inhibited the expression of MMP-2, MMP-9, and VEGF in a dose-dependent manner. Expression levels of PDGF-1 and PDGF-2 were not affected by sulodexide at high or low concentration.
