Effect of plumbagin treatment on the B. subtilis cell morphology. B. subtilis AH75 strains were grown in the presence of IC₅₀ (5 μM), 2×IC₅₀ (10 μM) and absence (control) of plumbagin for 2 h; nuclear materials were stained using 1 μg/μL DAPI for 20 min. The fluorescence microscopic images were captured with both DAPI and DIC filters.
