Gram-negative bacteria efficiently enhance presentation of HEL46–61 peptide to type B T (11A10) cells. BMDCs were exposed to the gram-negative bacteria S. Typhimurium, E. coli, P. aeruginosa, or N. pharyngis; gram-positive bacteria S. aureus, S. epidermidis, or C. diphtheriae or the yeast C. albicans. Presentation of HEL46–61 peptide to type B hybridoma (11A10) cells was then quantified as described in Figure1. Data are presented as mean ± SD of three samples from one of three independent experiments with similar results.
