Effect of Cenexin S796A mutant overexpression in ODF2+/– mouse testis. (a) Hematoxylin-eosin staining of experimental mouse testes. Testes sections from C57BL/6 control mice and hCenexin1S796A transgenic mice in the ODF2+/–background (S796A;ODF2+/–) were stained with hematoxylineosin and observed with a light microscope. White and black arrow heads indicate spermatogonium and spermatocyte, respectively. White and black arrows indicate round and elongated spermatids, respectively. Asterisks represent widened interstitial region in S796A;ODF2+/– mouse testis. (c) Immunohistochemical analysis. Testis sections from C57BL/6 control mice and hCenexin1S796A transgenic mice in the ODF2+/– background (S796A; mODF2+/–) were immunostained with the hCenexin1 antibodies (green) along with antibodies specific to acetylated-tubulin (red) (upper) and γ-tubulin (red) (lower). Nuclei were stained with DAPI (blue). Scale bar 50 μm.
