Amelogenin production in 21-day old Msx2−/− mice showing ameloblast cell secretory disorders in more detail (Molla et al., 2010). In this condition, the polarity of the entire enamel organ is completely lost. (A) Epithelial cells appear to delaminate losing their orientation and intercellular cohesion (scale bars: 20 μm).
