Significant decrease is observed in the serum abundances of fatty acids: palmitic, linoleic, and oleic acid. As a crude measure of fatty acid β-oxidation, the ratio of free carnitine to acetylcarnitine was calculated (peak area ratio shown on y axis), which also suggests a decrease in serum-free carnitine levels post-137Cs-exposure.
