Analysis of molecular variance for the elite durum wheat panel of 183 accessions adapted to Mediterranean areas based on the sub-population subdivision as from a previous population genetic structure analysis [20, 38]. Overall FST index among sub-populations and specific sub-population pairwise FST indexes are reported. Average population pairwise differences are reported as follows: (i) above diagonal: average number of pairwise differences between populations (Pi XY), (ii) diagonal elements (bold): Average number of pairwise differences within population (Pi X), (iii) below diagonal: Corrected average pairwise difference (Pi XY-(Pi X + Pi Y) /2).
