To evaluate the prevalence of S. haematobium and S. mansoni infection, baseline survey was implemented at 61 primary schools in Al Jabalain locality before treatment, and the follow-up survey was conducted at 6–9 months after the chemotherapy. Chemotherapy and health education for students and residents were carried out through the whole project period. A drinking water supply facility at the Al Hidaib village was completed at August, 2010, and questionnaire survey from residents was done 9 months after completion.
