Basal superoxide production in corpus cavernosum tissue from LZR and OZR detected by lucigenin-enhanced chemiluminescence. Effect of ET-1 (10 nM) on basal superoxide production, and of tempol (100 μM) on the ET-1-induced superoxide production, in the absence and presence of the NOS inhibitor L-NOARG (100 μM). Superoxide production is expressed in counts per minute (cpm) mg−1 of tissue.
