Moderate – severe ulcerative colitis Mayo score 6–12 (range 0–12)
Partial Mayo score Mayo score without endoscopic sub-score (range 0–9)
Clinical response Decrease from baseline of ≥3 points in total Mayo score, and at least 30%, with decrease in rectal bleeding sub-score of ≥1 point (or an absolute sub-score of 0 or 1)
Clinical remission Total Mayo score of ≤2, with no individual sub-score >1
Mucosal healing Endoscopy sub-score of 0 or 1
Clinical flare Increase from baseline in partial Mayo score of ≥2 points with absolute partial Mayo score ≥4, or absolute partial Mayo score ≥7
