Light responses with voltage transients >9 mV were considered as spiking (Mb1–Mb7) and those with transients ≤9 mV as graded (Mb8–Mb10). Arrows point to small voltage transients during plateau phase of the light response (Mb1 and Mb10, 1,200 photons·μm−2·s−1).
