KCl and inhibitors altered TSP1 levels

TSP1 protein levels were analyzed in total lysates from cells cultured in the presence or absence of 25 mM KCl for 24 hours after pre-treatment with inhibitors of ERK [U0126], p38 [SB203585] for 1 hour. TSP1 protein levels were quantified by densitometry, and the change in TSP1 in inhibitor-treated cells was calculated. Western blotting showing that ERK and p38 inhibitors reduced TSP1 expression in KCl-treated cells. Proteins levels were normalized to β-actin, the protein loading control (^a)P<0.05 and ^b)P<0.01).
