Renal NADPH oxidase activity and urinary TBARS excretion were significantly elevated in diabetic than control mice (*P <0.05 vs. control mice) but were reduced with ABT702 treatment (#P <0.05 vs. diabetic mice). However, urinary TBARS excretion remained significantly higher in diabetic mice treated with ABT702 compared with control (*P <0.05 vs. control mice, 7–8/group).
