Perception of AtPep1 but not of the MAMPs flg22 or elf18 accelerates dark-induced senescence. Four leaf discs of Col-0 plants were floated on water supplemented with the indicated elicitor peptides or without any peptide (0) and kept for 4 days in continuous darkness. Bars show mean values of the total chlorophyll content of four leaf discs.
