S-glutathionylation of H₂O₂-oxidized CBS and its effect on activity. Recombinant wild-type CBS (0.5 mg/ml) was incubated with different concentrations of H₂O₂ and GSH, followed by 10 mM DTT treatment as indicated. The samples were then dialyzed, and CBS activity was measured using the methylcysteine assay as described in Figure 1 legend. The data represent the activity of samples compared with untreated controls and are the average±SD (n=3), *p<0.05 or **p<0.01 versus control.
