Perception model values taken from Ma et al., 2006. Similar values were chosen for the attention model. Thresholds have been adjusted for our stimuli. Prominence factor was applied for the simulation of Sweet's experiment (Sweet, 1953), to account for the subjects' focus on where the foveal light would flash. For the simulation in Figure 6B, θ0 was reduced from 30 to 0.005, because of the very short flash duration. All times are in seconds.
