FEF TMS induces attentional biases during early task blocks. Spatial attentional bias, comparing “attention left” versus “attention right” trials, was computed separately for each TMS condition and for the early (blocks 1–2) and late (blocks 4–5) task period. During the early task blocks, attentional bias significantly varied as a function of TMS site; after left FEF TMS participants were relatively slower on attention right trials and after right FEF TMS participants were relatively slower on attention left trials. No difference was observed during late blocks, suggesting that TMS produced short-lasting (up until 16 min post-cTBS) behavioral changes.
