Dihexa does not block aminoglycoside entry into hair cells. There was no significant difference in quantified GTTR fluorescence within neuromasts of animals treated with or without 1 μM Dihexa (t-test; p = 0.1158). Sample control neuromast with bright GTTR fluorescence (inset top) is qualitatively the same intensity as a neuromast treated with 1 μM Dihexa (inset bottom).
