Effect of EPS on oxidative stress in BAECs. BAECs were pretreated with 50 µM EPS for 16 h. Subsequently, the untreated or EPS-treated cells were exposed to 100 µM H2O2 (A) and 50 µM tert-butylhydroperoxide (t-BHP) (B) for 24 h. Cell viability was assessed by measuring acid phosphatase activity. Values are means±SD of six experiments. (C) BAECs were pretreated with 50 µM EPS and 20 µM LY294002 (LY) and then exposed to 50 µM t-BHP for 4 h.
