GLP-1 blocks N-type Ca2+-channels and inhibits exocytosis.

(A) Whole-cell Ca2+-currents evoked by membrane depolarization from −70 mV to 0 mV under control conditions (Ctrl; 1 mM glucose), 5 min after addition of GLP-1 (10 nM) and 5 min after addition of 100 nM ω-conotoxin in the continued presence of GLP-1 (GLP-1 and ω-con; grey).
